Behind the Pen Photo Challenge – Week 2

Hello and welcome back to week 2 of the Behind the Pen Photo Challenge! Right now the sun is shining beautifully, spring seems to have finally sprung, I’ve just had a week off from school, and I’m about to go celebrate my Dad’s birthday with family – so life is good!Β I hope that you enjoy the photos that I’m about to share! πŸ™‚

*The Last Line I Wrote*

This is the last stanza of a poem I jotted down this afternoon – fresh off of the press you could say! πŸ˜€ I’ll probably share the whole of it at some point in the next few months. πŸ™‚

*My Notebook Stash*

It may surprise you to know that I’m not actually that big of a notebook person. However, I managed to scrounge up a few I had to take a photo – they include my English notebook, my prayer notebook, and a notebook I used to take notes in at a conference I went to last week.

*A Favourite Post by Someone Else*

I read this post recently by Bethany on the Wild Rose Journal and it really touched my heart. Bethany has a beautiful way of spinning words, and her heart to share hope when all seems dark is very encouraging.

*My Favourite Writing Spot*

Pictured here is my desk area where I do my school work and the large majority of my writing. I must admit I have a soft spot for my little desk nook. πŸ˜€ I set it up when my sister and I redid our room last Autumn, and I love working at it – I’m surrounded by my books (which makes my little logophile heart very happy!) and (when the weather behaves itself!) I get the sun streaming in through the windows in the afternoon.

*A Quote from One of my Last Writing Projects*

Again, this is from a poem that I wrote semi-recently after being inspired by a history lesson! I’ll share the whole of it at some point in the future. πŸ™‚

*My Must Have Writing Drink/Snack*

Water, water, water! It’s definitely my favourite beverage (I know, so boring. But very healthy! :D) and I try to drink as much as possible every day. I got this bottle for my birthday, and it’s very handy to fill up and sit on my desk as I work.
Is it weird that I like taking arty photos of water? πŸ˜€ The light was good today, and I had fun experimenting with my camera!

That’s all for this week – I hope you’ve enjoyed it! If you are interested in participating in this challenge, you should definitely check out Bethany’s blog post from from Behind the Pen here. And let me know if you are participating, I’d love to see your photos! πŸ™‚
