Happy August to all my lovely readers! I’m still slightly in shock to be saying that, but I’m sure I’ll get over it… just in time to be shocked with September’s arrival. 😀 August so far has been hot and busy, what with having family visiting and preparing to start working. Oh yes, have I mentioned that I got my first job on here yet? Well now I have. 😀 I’ll be working at an after school club starting next month, and I’m super pumped!! Anyways, life is busy in a delightful way right now and I’m enjoying it. What’s new with all of you? I’d love to hear from you in the comment section! 🙂
Today I’m going to be sharing a short poem I wrote the other day after being inspired by a Pinterest prompt (ah Pinterest is so helpful :D). It’s on topic I feel pretty strongly about. You see, people my age are so often doubted and not expected to do hard things, and oh how it galls me. The teenage years have so much potential and so much promise, and yet so many teens don’t do anything with those years because they don’t believe they can do anything! So this poem is for those who are doubting and discouraged, especially any fellow teenagers out there. Because you can do hard things. I hope that it encourages you!!
~
They say you can’t,
so cover your ears.
They say you’ll fail,
so let courage draw near.
They say you won’t,
so lift up your face.
They say you’ll crumble,
so stand firm in your place.
Beautiful one
you can do hard things.
~
Love this, Hannah. How wonderful you have the desire to spur on your fellow teens to do the ‘hard things’- good for you!
