Thoughts of a Poet

Greetings! A week has passed, and yet again it is Saturday. Isn’t it funny how things become normal? I was talking to my Mum on the phone the other day and said something about ‘yeah just normal life’, and then I stopped. I’ve been at college for barely 5 weeks, but somehow it’s already ‘normal’ – the new normal. πŸ˜€ I guess it shows how flexible humans can be, and how quickly the new can turn to normal.Β In any case, life is moving on, and it’s good. My new normal involves lots of people and laughter and long conversations, classes and homework and random adventures and many, many late nights. And I’m loving it! πŸ™‚

Today I thought I’d share a couple little poetic thoughts, ‘mini-poems’ if you will, that I’ve written in the past few days. I’m struggling to find the time to sit down and write to my heart’s content, due to my very busy schedule. Recently however, I’ve been jotting down little poetic thoughts when inspiration strikes, as I’m waiting for work to start or sitting in chapel or wherever I might be. I hope you enjoy them!

And that’s that for this week… I’d love to hear your thoughts on these little thoughts of mine. Let’s chat in the comments below! πŸ˜‰

  1. I enjoyed these mini-poems, Hannah. The first one of the morning light reminds us that with Christ, our Light (and Redeemer), we live each day with hope. The second poem reminds me of Matt. 28:8 where “the women hurried from the tomb, afraid but filled with joy.” Glad to hear you are (en)joying college life!
