Why do you hide
behind the lies
shielding your eyes
from the beautiful truth?
Why do you bend
beneath your shame
the weight of your pain
breaking your heart?
Do you not know
that it is the
truth
that sets you free?
Do you not know
that if the Son sets you
free
you will be
free indeed?
So please
don’t hide
don’t bend
stand straight
head high
And remember,
you are free
you are beloved
oh precious one.
