Greetings! Somehow another Saturday has rolled around, and I find that I have been home for four weeks now. I’m not entirely sure how that happened, but then time has a habit of slipping through my fingers like sand, so I really shouldn’t be surprised at this point. πΒ
Today I’m going to share a poem with you on the topic of home – inspired by the fact that I am currently home and loving it. π This poem gives a small glimpse into one of the many dreams that I cherish close to my heart regarding my future. – a home full of children of my own. I know that I’m still many years away from this dream being realized, but it doesn’t hurt a girl to hope and dream… πΒ
~
I dream of a house full of laughter and lively noise,
where there are more children than bathrooms
and where bedtime is a loud and crowded affair.
I dream of a house full of wooden blocks and crayoned artwork,
where miniature artists rub shoulders with tiny architects
and creating beauty comes naturally.
I dream of a house full of sunshine and the sweet aroma
of chocolate chip cookies and chubby newborn cheeks
that nestle warm against me.
I dream of a house where singing is our second language,
where music bursts out of every room and dancing is
second only to hugging.
I dream of a house full of children and love,
full of stray socks and scattered toys and stacks of books –
full of the bright anticipation of the future.
~
Do you love children too? What is one of your dreams that you have for your future? I’d love to hear from you in the comments! π
I love this! I think you’re describing your own family.

This is lovely, Hannah! And I agree with your grandpa. I pray God’s will for you is just this kind of family. It will be worth the wait, I’m sure. π

Awww, this was so sweet, Hannah.
Yes! I adore my siblings… although sometimes I wish I had some younger children around, too!
A dream I used to have was either fostering or running a low-technology school for needy children. I donβt think the Lord is leading me towards that now, but maybe someday!

You’re dreaming of a home full of children, laughter, music, sunshine, sweet aromas, love, etc. because I believe you have come to value these ingredients in a home. They have brought you much joy for 19 years. So you want them to be what will make your home a home. I will pray God would be pleased to have your dreams come true – in His time.:)
